‘Gone Too Far,’ ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’ to screen at Durban International Film Festival
Three Nigerian linked movies,B for Boy,Gone Too FarandHalf Of A Yellow Sun, are some of the films that would be screened at the 35th Durban International Film Festival.
Kicking off on July 17, 2014 – July 27, 2014, the Durban International Film Festival would have screen 200 theatrical screenings and a full seminar and workshop programme, as well as the Wavescape Film Festival, Wild Talk Africa Film Festival and various industry initiatives, including the 7th Talents Durban (in cooperation with the Berlinale Talents) and the 5th Durban FilmMart co-production market (in partnership with the Durban Film Office).
Further probe showed that the popularHalf Of A Yellow Sunwould be screened at the SUNCOAST on July 18, 2014 between 6:15pm and 8:05pm and at the MUSGRAVE on July 26, 2014 between 2:30pm – 4:16pm.
Meanwhile, Gone Too Farhas been scheduled for screening at the BAY OF PLENTY on July 18, 2014 between 8:30pm and 10:00pm as well as the LUTHULI MUSEUM between July 21, 2014 10:00am and 11:30am asB For Boywould be screened on July 19, 2014 at SUNCOAST between @:30pm and 4:30pm and July 22, 2014 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm
Organised by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal with support from the National Film and Video Foundation and Goethe Institute, the Durban International Film Festival is backed by KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development & Tourism, KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission, City of Durban, German Embassy, Industrial Development Corporation, KwaZulu-Natal Department of Arts and Culture.
